Bollywood troubled actor Salman Khan is once again haunted by his mischievous past. This time, it’s not for the killing of the endangered Chinkara or running over some poor people sleeping on the street but to depose as a witness in a case involving the movie Chori Chori Chupke.
He appeared before the Special MCOCA Court yesterday (March 11) over the allegation by the city police that his film Chori Chori Chupke Chupke was made with the underworld’s money. His father Salim Khan said that his son has given a police statement regarding the persons he met before the making of the film. He was called to confirm the statements before the Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act.
It may be recalled that film financier Bharat Shah was arrested in 2001 for the same case. He was alleged to have links with underground kingpin Chhota Shakeel. He was alleged to have used the underworld money for financing the film starring Salman Khan, Rani Mukherjee and Preity Zinta.
