Maverick filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma is set to direct Sunil for his next Telugu film. Sunil, who is currently working under the no.1 commercial director of Tollywood S S Rajamouli, has bagged the chance to act in a Ram Gopal Varma film.

RGV who is busy finishing up Rakhta Charitra has come up with a new comedy film titled Katha Screenplay Darsakatvam Appalraju. The film revolves around the trials and tribulations of an aspiring director's debut film.

Ram Gopal Varma will be producing it himself. He is planning a Hindi version of the same too.

Apparently, Meghana is oozing her oomph wherever possible and has caught the attention of many film makers. Some of them predict that with the resemblance of Nayan and her generous visual feast, Meghana might get past the Malayalam beauty if she plays her cards in the right way.

'Pathala Bhairavi' With Daggubati Rana

An all time classic and super duper hit movie of yesteryears was "Pathalabhairavi", in which late N T Ramarao played as hero and late S V Rangarao played the villain as 'Nepala Manthrikudu'. Now plans are afoot to make it again with a heavy budget. It is said that producer Suresh Babu is planning to take up this venture along with Allu Arvind and two other producers. Its budget is estimated at Rs. 80 crores and Rana will play the hero's role. The film would be made in Three languages Telugu, Tamil and Hindi. Film makers already started preparing the ground work and will announce cast and crew after script gets.

It was Mamtha who was first approached by the producers to play the role which Anushka played later. Mamta did not show interest in the film because her recent Telugu films were very ordinary and more over she was gaining more popularity as a singer than as an actress in Tollywood. While the reputation as a singer was growing Mamtha felt playing the role of a sex worker at this stage may hamper her growth as a play back singer. All these made her to stay away from 'Vedam'. Now that 'Vedam' is a super duper hit and Anushka has moved many places up the number Mamta regrets her judgment. She has more reason to worry as 'Vedam' is now being remade in Tamil with the same Anushka and Silambarasan by the big banner Super Good Films.
