Coming from a humble background Mugdha says the feeling that people are appreciating my work is still sinking in. “It’s a different high when people see you and call out to you on the streets. Suddenly you are an icon and people want to reach out to you. When I went to the
IIFA awards there were young boys and girls shouting my name. I was stunned I never knew the power of cinema. But it has definitely boosted me to perform better now."

She has studied in a Marathi medium school and took up modeling just for the fun of it. Before that she had taken up part time jobs also. Mugdha parents have still not got over the fact that she is into movies. But after Fashion they are confident and happy about her

Recent news has it that in the movie, Neil was to offer Mugda champagne which lead into a song scene. Although the champagne scene was in the film, Mugda suggested actually consuming some champagne to have the drunken effect.

Madhur Bhandarkar wanted the scene to be perfect so the song was shot many a times resulting in Mugda consuming a bit too much champagne! And then, the Fashion diva became tipsy on the sets of Jail!

Be careful, Mugdha! Natural acting matters but not at the expense of professionalism!
