Nandana's nix to international project

== Summary == Painting of the Goddess Saraswat...Image via Wikipedia

Well...when all B-Town celebs are upto some or the other international project, it's something unexpected from someone like Nandana Sen who has recently refused one.

Nandana has done some dare-bare scenes in the past. But the lady refused to sign an international project to be directed by Italian director Italo Spinelli because she needed to do some bold scenes.

Nandana's nix to do this film, which required her to bare her skin once again was somewhat contradictory. The film is based on eminent Bengali writer Mahasweta Devi's short story 'Behind the Bodice' (Choli ke Picche). Nandana was approached for playing a tribal woman of 1950's era when poor rural women used to just wrap sari on their body without a blouse.

The project is a desirable one for her, but Nandana's apprehension for the film was evident with this quoted statement, "It's a powerful story and although I support it fully I feel the subject matter is such that the tribal girl's nudity cannot avoid becoming unintentionally voyeuristic and exoticized even though that is definitely not the objective."

Or may be the actress doesn't want to indulge in nudity anymore.

Another film i.e. Ketan Mehta's Rang Rasiya is the one in which she plays the muse of legendary painter Raja Ravi Verma, played by Randeep Hooda and poses nude for his paintings. And since the movie deals with the subject of censorship of art, nudity was at the very core of the film. Nandana's scenes in the yet-to-be released film are not obscene and were shot aesthetically.

The actress had showed her bareback in the movie Tango Charlie too.

Sushmita-Randeep steamy scene creates murmur

Karma aur Holi

Sushmita Sen is an unhappy soul these days. Her new movie ‘Karma aur Holi’ was once a matter of pride for her and she didn’t stop raving about it but now the things have gone dicey. She is playing the lead along with Randeep Hooda in the film also starring Suchitra Krishnamurthy.

The problematic issue is that Sushmita is not happy with a kissing scene with her one time boyfriend Randeep and is cribbing that the producers are using this footage to do unruly publicity.

Sushmita clarified that the problem is that the makers of Karma aur Holi are promoting the film by sending out shady stories. She thinks that promoting a film this way is unethical and such obnoxious strategies of promoting a film should be done away with.

When asked in this regard Randeep Hooda who had once got the opportunity to date the beauty queen had nothing much to say. He blamed Sush instead for lashing out statements to the press. He didn’t comment on whether the kiss scene should be or not be removed.

Seems like Sushmita is having a hard way in this matter, with pouring out everything openly to the press, we wonder what she really wants. We just hope she gets justice to it.
