A Mumbai based builder, Ashish Raheja was sitting with his friends at the adjacent table. You know what happened! Ashish was dancing with his friends, he was very close to Arpita's table and suddenly he spilt the drink on Arpita. The incident raised the eyebrows of brother, Sohail Khan.

When he asked Ashish, the proud guy replied him that he could buy the table. Sohail Khan could not control his temper on this statement of Ashish's and a fight broke out between them. Well, we can just imagine that what could happened if Salman would be there. Things would have been more dangerous who dared mess with his dear sister. Well, Ashish should thank God for this !

Veer - Movie Review

Cast:: Salman Khan,Sohail Khan,Mithun Chakraborty,Jackie Shroff,Zarine Khan, YashodharaLisa Lazarus,Gita Soto,Neena Gupta,Aryan Vaid,Bharat Dabholkar,Bunny Anand,Shahbaaz Khan,Puru Raaj Kumar,Tim Laurence,William Chubb,Rajesh Vivek,Ashok Samarth,Vinay Apte,Yogesh Suri

Gadar fame Anil Sharma's latest venture 'Veer' starring Bollywood Machoman Salman Khan is all set to hit the theaters.

Beautiful model Zarine Khan is making her Bollywood beauty with 'Veer'. Zarine has already hogged limelight for her similar look with Salman's girlfriend Katrina Kaif.

The Bollywood "Wanted" boy has been returning to period drama, which is based on Nikolai Gogol's book, 'Taras Bulba'.

Interestingly, the story has been written by Salman Khan himself some 20-year-ago. The film has been completed at a huge budget of Rs 44 crore (Approx).

The story of the film 'Veer' is based on a love story between Pindari soldier and Rajasthani Princess in the backdrop of war of independence.

Salman plays a character of brave Pindari soldier named Veer. The Pindari community prefers death over dishonour and fights till last breath.

Zarine, who looks a like Katrina, plays the role of princess Yashodhara, who falls in love with Veer.

The movie starts with the colonial India of British rule. The Kings of India fall prey to Britishers' divide and rule policy. But there is a community, who proffered death to save the independence.

Set in colonial India, the film encapsulates a period when the British enslaved India with their divide and rule policy and kings and nawabs fell for it, except for the Pindaris who preferred death to dishonour and fought till their last breath. Salman plays one of the bravest and strongest Pindari soldiers named Veer.

As Veer takes on the might of the British Empire, he also has to fight the conniving King of Madavgarh as well as his own jealous tribesmen. The stakes are high as he has to avenge his father's dishonour as well as get over the hurdles in love as he romances princess Yashodhara, the daughter of his sworn enemy.

Shot extensively in Rajasthan, it is a story of bravery, treachery and love.

Also shot in Britain, it is also the first Bollywood film to be shot in the premises of Buckingham Palace.

Despite having the facility of special effects, the film also boasts of using thousands of real horses and other animals for authenticity.

You must watch Veer for to know at what cost Salman fight, at stake is his love for princess Yashodhara, daughter of his sworn enemy? or at stake is his thirst to avenge his father's dishonour?

The movie is all set to beat the records of Salman's last blockbuster Wanted. Salman looks awesome in a role of Pindari soldier while Zarine also proved her worth in the movie.

Veer - Music Review

Cast:: Salman Khan,Sohail Khan,Mithun Chakraborty,Jackie Shroff,Zarine Khan, YashodharaLisa Lazarus,Gita Soto,Neena Gupta,Aryan Vaid,Bharat Dabholkar,Bunny Anand,Shahbaaz Khan,Puru Raaj Kumar,Tim Laurence,William Chubb,Rajesh Vivek,Ashok Samarth,Vinay Apte,Yogesh Suri

From the misty pages of history comes a story of extreme valour, fierce pride and poignant love. As the British enslave India with their devious Divide and Rule policy, kings and nawabs fall to their guile and cunning, and entrust their precious kingdom to the foreigners. Except for the brave Pindaris, who prefer death to dishonour and will fight to their last breath to save their land…their mother.

The bravest, the toughest, the strongest of the Pindaris is Veer. As Veer takes on the might of the British Empire, he also has to fight the conniving King of Madavgarh as well his own jealous tribesmen.

1. Taali
Begins with soulful wordings sung by Sukhwinder Singh. Then transits to a Gujarati themed song. Preferably meant for regional listeners only.

2. Surili Akhiyon Wale
Rahat Fateh Ali Khan's songs now seems to sound very similar. He uses the same flow and the same pitch for this song similar to 'Zindagi' from Dil Kabaddi. It also means that the song is equally good.

3. Salaam Aaya
Suits perfect for depicting the old King Rule era. Sweet lyrics with light music, a melody.

4. Meherbaniyan
The song only gets better when there is chorus singing of Meherbaniyan. Not the best from Sonu Nigam for sure.

5. Kanha - Thumri
Sensational song! Although much of the song features some other Indian Language then Hindi. So, there will be disparity between listeners but the two beginning lines you hear will leave you spellbound.

6. Spirit Of Veer - Instrumental
This is only the theme music of the film. Sounded childish to me.

Remixes
There are no typical remixes but a duet and solo version of the earlier songs. Offers variety and are equally good.

Overall Music Review of Veer
Veer Music Album suits the theme of the film well and cleverly recreates pre-historic era through its music. One of the best works by music duo Sajid - Wajid in recent times. Lyricist Gulzar delivers adequately with his expertize lyrics. Choice of the singers for each song is remarkable, almost feels like that these songs were made by keeping them in mind.

Main Aur Mrs Khanna - Movie Review

Cast :: Salman Khan, Kareena Kapoor, Sohail Khan, Bappi Lahiri, Preity Zinta.

Main Aurr Mrs. Khanna, directed by debutante Prem Soni, could've been an interesting story had the drama quotient been a bit stronger. What comes across is too simple and ordinary.

Actually, the problem lies in its writing. It wouldn't be erroneous to say that Prem Soni, the director is letdown by Prem Soni, the writer. The writing gyrates from interesting to ordinary to unconvincing and that bogs the film down. The inconsistency is evident all through.

Raina [Kareena Kapoor], Samir [Salman Khan] and Akash [Sohail Khan] are three people whose lives get entwined at an international airport. Samir has to decide whether he wants to stay in the same city "Melbourne" that gave him so much and then took away everything or fly away to a new city "Singapore", to a new life.

Raina has to decide whether her love and loyalty for her husband Samir, who left her to pursue success, is more justified than her faith and trust in her new-found friend, while Akash has to decide whether what he feels for a married woman is lust or true love and whether he's justified in trying to win her at all costs, even at the cost of her marriage.

Main Aurr Mrs. Khanna makes a promising start. The cracks in the relationship are evident when the husband starts facing problems on the professional front. He tries to re-locate to Singapore, but decides to send his wife to Delhi, to his parents' home. Convincing!

The wife decides to stay back in Melbourne and suddenly meets an 'angel' [Sohail Khan] and a friend's friend [Mahek Chahal], who gets her a job at the airport [within hours of meeting her] and a few scenes later, Mrs. Khanna shifts into a palatial mansion. How can she afford a palace-like home in Melbourne from the salary that she gets, while working in a shop at the airport? Not convincing!

The wife and angel become friends. The angel is well aware of her marital status, yet loves her dearly. The woman trusts him as a friend. Convincing!

The husband re-surfaces. He's now settled in Singapore, has even bought a house there, he returns to Melbourne to fetch his wife back. Complications arise when the marriage registration letter surfaces. Not convincing!

The question is, why didn't the wife confide in her husband about it? That she had to do it for the work permit? Of course, she states subsequently that she didn't want to complicate things further, but didn't she ever realise that the truth would be out sooner or later?

Also, when the husband is in Singapore, there's scant or zilch communication between the couple, which looks so unreal. There's just one sequence of the wife calling her husband, but the husband isn't responding to the call. Again, not convincing!

The ending is interesting, but the surprise appearance of Deepika Padukone looks forced in the script. Perhaps, it was incorporated so that Sohail doesn't come across as a loser. Strangely, Deepika's name is also Raina [also Kareena's name in the film] and she too was in a relationship with a Samir [also Salman's name], which looks fake.

Prem Soni has handled a few scenes well, but the writing is ineffectual. Dialogue, also by Prem, are wonderful at places. Sajid-Wajid's music is tuneful. 'Don't Say Alvida' and 'Rabba' are melodious compositions. The cinematography is striking. The locales of Melbourne give the film a perfect romantic setting.

Salman handles his part with maturity, but it's a Kareena show all the way. She is remarkable and delivers a winning performance yet again. Sohail contributes to some light moments. Yash Tonk is alright. Mahek Chahal is perfect. Nauheed Cyrusi doesn't get any scope.

The film has several star appearances: Deepika Padukone, Preity Zinta, Dino Morea and Bappil Lahiri.
